Upcoming 310 in Indian Bike Market
1. The Racing Wheels TVS AKULA
There were few bikes that turned more heads at the Auto Expo 2016 than the TVS Akula 310. A purely race-focused prototype that heralded 33 years of TVS’ racing legacy, the Akula took centre stage at the TVS stall and promised an upcoming entry-level sportsbike that will take on the likes of Benelli, KTM, and Yamaha. And after making us wait for so long, TVS teased a picture of the bike on their official Twitter page to celebrate ‘Shark Awareness Day’. If you don’t get the connection, ‘Akula’ stands for shark in Russian.
Capitalising on the technical expertise and experience of BMW, TVS have used a race-tuned version of the 310 cc liquid cooled engine producing 34 bhp that is being used on the G310R. The TVS Akula 310 is still a concept that showcases how advanced the next TVS bike is going to be. But just like the ‘Draken’ concept which underwent a few changes before being launched as the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, the Akula 310 is more likely to hit dealerships bearing the Apache RTR 300 badge.
But regardless of what the bike’s called, it still looks absolutely brilliant. TVS have built upon the fact that it is known as the ‘Shark’ by giving the Akula an aggressive and almost predatory design. The sharp angles and dis-jointed rear frame give the TVS Akula 310 a superbike look. In terms of design alone, the new flagship TVS should have no problem competing against its rivals which include the Yamaha R3, Kawasaki Ninja 300 or even the KTM RC 390 (which doesn’t look all that great to be honest). The power figures aren’t to bad either so it’ll all come down to how the bike rides and going by the time and effort TVS have put into it, we can expect to be quite good.
TVS Akula can be proved as the best sports bike in Indian with its amazing features and great looks.
This Beast is race ready so you'd be ready with your racing gears.
2. BMW 310 R
This is a Street fighter from the German company BMW.
It is going to be launch in India in 2017
The BMW G 310 R is the essence of riding pleasure. It was built for racing cities and for all those who simply love riding motorcycles. It is manoeuvrable, easy to handle and sporty at the same time. Whether you're a tall or small rider – you’ll immediately feel at home on the BMW G 310 R! The bike is lightweight, yet a real powerhouse with its 313 cc engine. The G 310 R is a real BMW motorcycle, but with reduced cylinder capacity. Maximum quality, excellent workmanship and extraordinary technology ensure intense riding pleasure.
The G 310 R clearly carries the S 1000 R gene. The sporty headlight fairing with powerful headlight, dynamic fuel tank trim and typical roadster proportions transform it into an eye-catcher on the street. The G 310 R is light and strong at the same time thanks to its dynamic front and distinctive rear. The short seat emphasises the roadster dynamic in the rear section and gives the bike, especially in white, an unmistakeable motorsport look. The gold anodised fork and brake caliper emphasise the high-quality workmanship of the machine.
The G 310 R is more agile and easier to control. The low and longer swing arm ensures even more stability, without unnecessarily increasing the wheelbase. No BMW motorcycle has been without it since 2013: standard ABS. It is also fitted in the G 310 R and ensures your safety on every ride. Good looks, powerful drive and less than 160 kg fully fuelled, with the G 310 R you can simply enjoy motorcycling.
BMW G310 GS
The BMW GS tag holds a legendary status in the motorcycle world and bikes carrying that badge are regarded as some of the best adventure-tourers in production. The flagship R1200 GS has retained the top spot for most sold motorcycle Europe in all categories for quite some time now. And with Indian bikers demanding more performance out of their bikes, BMW can really capture this market in a way that Royal Enfield can’t. A proper adventurer-tourer that carries with it the legacy of the BMW GS tag with costing an exorbitant amount will capture the massive gap between the lower-end ADV bikes like the RE Himalayan and the premium ones like Tiger Triumph and Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro.
This Bike is gonna be the best tourer bike in this power segment.
There are some glance of developing GS

The BMW G310 GS will share its engine with the G310 R streetfighter which features a 313cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that produces 34bhp of power and 28Nm of torque. To aid in the ‘adventure’ part of its segment, the suspension on the BMW G310 GS will be carried out by an inverted telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock rear setup and the bike will also get ABS as standard.

We can expect the BMW G 310 GS to have the similar utilitarian design that is seen on the higher displacement machines. Powering the bike will be the same 313cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor as seen on the street bike producing 35PS of power and 28Nm of peak torque. The powerplant has been mated to a 6-speed gearbox. We can expect the BMW G 310 GS to be unveiled at the 2016 EICMA motorcycle show later this year with a probable global debut in early 2017.
