Upcoming 310 in Indian Bike Market

1. The Racing Wheels TVS AKULA

There were few bikes that turned more heads at the Auto Expo 2016 than the TVS Akula 310. A purely race-focused prototype that heralded 33 years of TVS’ racing legacy, the Akula took centre stage at the TVS stall and promised an upcoming entry-level sportsbike that will take on the likes of Benelli, KTM, and Yamaha. And after making us wait for so long, TVS teased a picture of the bike on their official Twitter page to celebrate ‘Shark Awareness Day’. If you don’t get the connection, ‘Akula’ stands for shark in Russian.

Capitalising on the technical expertise and experience of BMW, TVS have used a race-tuned version of the 310 cc liquid cooled engine producing 34 bhp that is being used on the G310R. The TVS Akula 310 is still a concept that showcases how advanced the next TVS bike is going to be. But just like the ‘Draken’ concept which underwent a few changes before being launched as the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, the Akula 310 is more likely to hit dealerships bearing the Apache RTR 300 badge.
But regardless of what the bike’s called, it still looks absolutely brilliant. TVS have built upon the fact that it is known as the ‘Shark’ by giving the Akula an aggressive and almost predatory design. The sharp angles and dis-jointed rear frame give the TVS Akula 310 a superbike look. In terms of design alone, the new flagship TVS should have no problem competing against its rivals which include the Yamaha R3, Kawasaki Ninja 300 or even the KTM RC 390 (which doesn’t look all that great to be honest). The power figures aren’t to bad either so it’ll all come down to how the bike rides and going by the time and effort TVS have put into it, we can expect to be quite good.

TVS Akula can be proved as the best sports bike in Indian with its amazing features and great looks.
This Beast is race ready so you'd be ready with your racing gears.

2. BMW 310 R

This is a Street fighter from the German company BMW.
It is going to be launch in India in 2017
The BMW G 310 R is the essence of riding pleasure. It was built for racing cities and for all those who simply love riding motorcycles. It is manoeuvrable, easy to handle and sporty at the same time. Whether you're a tall or small rider – you’ll immediately feel at home on the BMW G 310 R! The bike is lightweight, yet a real powerhouse with its 313 cc engine. The G 310 R is a real BMW motorcycle, but with reduced cylinder capacity. Maximum quality, excellent workmanship and extraordinary technology ensure intense riding pleasure.
The G 310 R clearly carries the S 1000 R gene. The sporty headlight fairing with powerful headlight, dynamic fuel tank trim and typical roadster proportions transform it into an eye-catcher on the street. The G 310 R is light and strong at the same time thanks to its dynamic front and distinctive rear. The short seat emphasises the roadster dynamic in the rear section and gives the bike, especially in white, an unmistakeable motorsport look. The gold anodised fork and brake caliper emphasise the high-quality workmanship of the machine.

The G 310 R is more agile and easier to control. The low and longer swing arm ensures even more stability, without unnecessarily increasing the wheelbase. No BMW motorcycle has been without it since 2013: standard ABS. It is also fitted in the G 310 R and ensures your safety on every ride. Good looks, powerful drive and less than 160 kg fully fuelled, with the G 310 R you can simply enjoy motorcycling.

BMW  G310 GS

The BMW GS tag holds a legendary status in the motorcycle world and bikes carrying that badge are regarded as some of the best adventure-tourers in production. The flagship R1200 GS has retained the top spot for most sold motorcycle Europe in all categories for quite some time now. And with Indian bikers demanding more performance out of their bikes, BMW can really capture this market in a way that Royal Enfield can’t. A proper adventurer-tourer that carries with it the legacy of the BMW GS tag with costing an exorbitant amount will capture the massive gap between the lower-end ADV bikes like the RE Himalayan and the premium ones like Tiger Triumph and Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro.
This Bike is gonna be the best tourer bike in this power segment.
There are some glance of developing GS

The BMW G310 GS will share its engine with the G310 R streetfighter which features a 313cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that produces 34bhp of power and 28Nm of torque. To aid in the ‘adventure’ part of its segment, the suspension on the BMW G310 GS will be carried out by an inverted telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock rear setup and the bike will also get ABS as standard.

We can expect the BMW G 310 GS to have the similar utilitarian design that is seen on the higher displacement machines. Powering the bike will be the same 313cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor as seen on the street bike producing 35PS of power and 28Nm of peak torque. The powerplant has been mated to a 6-speed gearbox. We can expect the BMW G 310 GS to be unveiled at the 2016 EICMA motorcycle show later this year with a probable global debut in early 2017. Watch this space for more updates.

Please give your views for all these three 310 upcoming beasts.

DUCATI XDIAVEL S

DUCATI XDIAVEL S

They call it 'Thrilling Black'...
Yes we are talking about Ducati Xdiavel S.
As we guys know Ducati is not only a leading brand but also a synonym of high power and torque.

The first look of the compact design already describes the muscularity of the hot-wheel.
Now let us talk about design.
If I have to rate the bike in respect of the design of this bike, I'll rate it 8 out of 10. Also you can notice that it looks like cruiser machine.
You shall be now curious about it's features...

Engine

The twin-cylinder Ducati Testastretta DVT 1262 is a completely new and Euro 4 approved engine which uses the Desmodromic Variable Timing system. The increase in engine capacity compared to the Testastretta 1200, together with the use of the Desmodromic Variable Timing system, has enabled supply of incredibly full and at the same time fluid torque at low running speeds, while also guaranteeing sports performance when the throttle is fully opened. In addition, the Ducati Testastretta DVT 1262 has a particularly detailed design which, thanks to the repositioning of the water pump inside the V of the cylinders, does away with the cooling system pipes on the left side.
Well the bike is Ducati Testastretta DVT (Desmodromic Variable Timing) type, working on L-Twin, 4 Desmodromically actuated valves per cylinder, Dual spark, Liquid cooled.

The three Riding Modes work by combining different cutting-edge technologies, such as Ride-by-Wire (RbW), Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and ABS Cornering Bosch systems.
Riding in town means moving attention from control of the accelerator to the surrounding environment: the Urban mode, therefore, instantly changes the character of the XDiavel, transforming it into an easy to handle form of transport which feels safe. The power supplied is reduced to 100 hp, the DTC is set at level 6 and the ABS profile is set to Safe & Stable, in order to always move in complete safety, even on uneven surfaces and in heavier traffic. The Touring Riding Mode enables the engine to supply all its 156 hp but with a soft and easy to handle power curve. The DTC is set to level 4 and the ABS on Safe & Stable, for pleasant and relaxed riding, ideal for maximum comfort for the rider and passenger on long journeys. The Sport Riding Mode offers pure fun, with the engine releasing 156 hp through a precise, expert touch of the accelerator. To experience the performance of the XDiavel without any compromise, Sport Mode reduces the DTC to level 2 and sets the ABS to Sport mode.

Yamaha MT-07 by JvB Moto

Yamaha MT-07 Scrambler by JvB Moto

Yamaha made a strong move with the introduction of the their 07 and 09 models of the XSR and MT series. Where the 09 models have an awesome, high performing 3 cylinder, the 07 models are fitted with a 270 degree twin engine with Yamaha’s cross-plane engine philosophy. Both engines have their own strong set of characteristics and both are extremely fun to ride.

With the 07 models, Yamaha has a clear “value for money” aim, and both the MT-07 and the XSR700 are very affordable and successful. Several prices where won around the world and Yamaha stole the heart of a complete new audience.

But that’s just some background info… What do we have here? Well, it’s another great creation from one of these Yamaha’s by JvB Moto, a German brewer who melted down the internet a with their custom Yamaha XSR700 called the “Super 7”. The Super 7 was such a success, that all custom parts are now offered as a complete range of bolt on parts in several Yamaha shops. So what do you do with a successful concept?

So what did they do to the stock MT-07? First off all: all technical components of the original machine are untouched. No wires where stripped and no disc grinder or welding machine where used. This means that the average biker can create this own Super7 without having difficulties with the insurance or warranty of the bike.

Some mods:

Removing of some covers at the rear and the engine area
Custom front fender with lightweight brackets
New headlight
Wirth front springs with “heavier” fork oil
46mm Öhlins rear shock
Arrow exhaust system
LSL handlebar with risers
New grips
LED indicators
Simplified dash/speedo
Replaced the stock mirrors with a single one
Conti TKC off road tires

Owner Jens vom Brauck:

“You can also put your sleeping bag and a tent, or a big beer case on the rack and do the scrambler thing. Cruise around in the country side with your friends or go to the beach. It is all great fun with this bike, I tried it myself…”
